What compelled you to be Scotty in "Star Trek?"
Hello Simon!
Any chance you and Nick Frost will be working on something together again?
There seems to be a lot of nuanced comedy in your movies. I'm always laughing at parts no one else finds nearly as hilarious. How do you know when you're being funny? Do you practice in front of mirror?
If you were a zombie, who is the first person you would eat?
Have you ever thought in your movies, "hmmmm is that too much gore?", I am not complaining don't get me wrong. Just curious to know if you, ever thought that.
What do you think is the greatest difference between British and American humor?

you are a square pegg.
What can you tell us about your upcoming films Paul and The World's End?
I remember watching your old series "Space" which you did with Nick Frost. What has influenced this comedy? Was it the sheer fact of video games like Resident Evil, and the culture in specific? Also, will we see a "Spaced" movie, or come-back?
You star in the upcoming film "Paul" with Nick Frost. Why do you suppose you two work so well together?
Would you consider appearing in a film involving terrorist parakeets if the script were brilliantly written?
Which do you prefer out of the movies in Hot Fuzz, Point Break or Bad Boys 2?
First off Simon I would like to say I am a huge fan. From your work in Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz to Run, Fat Boy, Run and Big Nothing they are all brilliant.
I have two questions for you.
What helps you prepare for the many unique and different roles you play.
From playing Shaun to Scotty and the many other different types of characters.
What kind of information can you reveal about your next movie with Edgar Wright "The World's End"
Thanks so much hope to hear from you.
Best of luck with your upcoming movie release.

Have you ever, fired a rocket launcher while jumping through the air?
Mr. Pegg have you ever noticed how much you look like Munawar Hosain?
Who is your favorite comedian and why?
Hi Simon! Everyone here is such a huge fan! Of course, we're all begging you to make more movies with Nick Frost. But in the larger picture, do you plan to stay true to, and make more of those extraordinary british comedies?
Dear Mr. Pegg I'm a big fan of your films where it's actually become a tradition for my pops and i to go to your new movies whenver they comes out because we always find them extremly funny and my dad is originally from sheffield england so he loves the english humor commenting that at times americans dont catch alot of that good english humor. Of course shaun of the dead is based on dawn of the dead and all of those zombie films and hot fuzz was the parody of cops have you ever thought of doing a funny parody for a british crime drama film like you could take a movie like lock stock and two barrels and make it into a humerous film.
What's the best movie you've ever seen?
when's the new series of spaced coming out, and do I win a box of Jaffa cakes?
What first got you interested in making films?
Hello Simon,
First, I just want to thank you for the wonderful shows have been in and I am so grateful that we in the US have been able to see them. I truly love Spaced. Brilliant show. Brilliant writing, editing, acting, direction - everyone in the cast is very talented. I hope you enjoyed working on that show. When ever I miss the characters in Spaced and want to "visit" I make myself a cup of tea and watch the show. I hope there is a follow up to the show.
I am curious about when and how you decided to be an actor? What shows, movies or actors inspired to be an actor and how inspires you today?
What is your favorite character you have played?
What character have you played that is the MOST like you in real life?
How did it feel or what did you think when you found out you got the role as Scotty in the upcoming Star Trek movie?

I am curious about what you think of the United States and the people here. I am curious of what people in the UK think of us.
Are you and Nick Frost old friends? You both seem like you have been friends since childhood.
I look forward to seeing you in the upcoming movies and hope to see you in another movie or show with Jessica Hynes.
I wish you all the best,
Pamela
Are you planning on teaming up with Nick Frost and Edgar Wright from Hot Fuzz and Sean of the Dead (<-- my FAVORITE movie!! its fab!) in the future? Any details (if so) on upcoming projects w/ you guys?
Thanks! Cheers!

Is it true that there's a point on a man's head where if you shoot it, it will blow up?
How could you concentrate on acting when you are in the same room as Megan Fox? That must be hard.
How are you coping with your impending huge success; especially w. the 'Trekkie' fans? Personally, I've been a fan since "Shaun of the Dead" will you do a sequel? You and Gervais (Rick) are bringing back UK humor back. Thank god!
I know you're enveloped in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood right now, but do you think you'll ever return to television?
Forget that nobody from Nightmare on Elm Street, you'd make a much more interesting Riddler. Let's start a rumor right here and now, would YOU like to be cast as the next Nolan Batman villain?? If not as the Riddler, who would you like to be?
Will you consider playing the role of Wee Hughie in the confirmed upcoming movie adaptation of 'The Boys'? Please say yes, it would be a great fan service.
Hi Simon. I'm such a big fan of yours. Which did you enjoy doing more? Shaun of the dead or Hot fuzz?
Also when is the next movie of these series coming out?
Helloooo
Just a few simple questions, who influenced you to mold you into the comedic genius you are today, do you think that Americans will ever truly understand dry-Brit humor, what are your top 5 favourite films of all time?
mmm, thanks

Simon,
Brilliant job casting you as Scotty in the upcoming Star Trek.
Ecstatic "Spaced" is now available to the US crowd.
Any chance of you, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost doing a send up of crime capers (ala Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Layer Cake, The Italian Job, Ocean's 11) ?
I was wondering if Simon, Edgar and Nick will ever make and epic like "Shaun of the Dead" again. Hot Fuzz and the next rumoured installment of the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy was/is highly anticipated by those who worship S.O.T.D., but it was much more hollywood-ized and big blockbustered up than expected. I appreciate that S.O.T.D. gave them the opportunity to branch out to access bigger stars but the heart of S.O.T.D. lay in the fact that it was so UN-hollywood, like "Spaced" (a classic). Simon and gang are stupendous so can't wait for more from him and the rest!!!
Do you think your movies are a bit too American?
Star Trek? lol... You going to have funny shapped objects glued to your head
Hi Simon. Thanks for taking our questions.
I watch "Shaun of the Dead" at least once a month, and it still makes me laugh out loud every time. One of my favorite scenes is the one in which Shaun and Ed are trying to decide which vinyl albums to chuck at the zombies in the back yard.
Only a devout Prince fan (like myself) would have the presence of mind to preserve "Sign 'o' the Times" in such a perilous moment while instantly sacrificing the Batman soundtrack.
I've long been curious who added that brilliant bit to the scene. Are you the discerning Prince fan that Shaun is?
Many thanks for all the hours of fun, and I look forward to your next projects!
- Sean Dilley
Keep up the GREAT work. Always stay true to yourself, thus keeping your work honest. Looking forward to your next project.
What are your UK friends attitudes on America right now? Do they all think we are idiots for the economic and political messes we have gotten ourselves into lately?
If you weren't acting, what would you be doing for a living?
If you could be anyone from the "Star Wars" world, who would you be and why?
Do you feel that you now qualify as an action hero given Hot Fuzz?
Mr. Pegg,
Who was your biggest comedic influence?
All your movies up to this point have had a similar theme: they've all been comedies. Are you afraid of getting typecast stricty as a comic actor and are there any movies with a more serious tone in your near future?
please tell me what bouyant force
Were you to be in an actual Zombie outbreak, how well would you survive?

What would you say has been the biggest influence or inspiration for your work?
Who do you find extremely funny? What comedians do you watch?
After "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People", will you ever create other spoofs about movie genres like what you did in Shaun of The Dead?
How did it feel to be choosen for geek glory and be in the new Star Trek?
Do you consider yourself a nerd?
hey simon ,
love shaun of the dead and hot fuzz cant wait till your next flick opens !!!
Why Cornetto?
Simon,
I'm a young filmmaker, who has been making almost exclusively sketch comedy films for the last four years.
Do you have any advice on how we can take the strengths gained from working in short form and apply them to a full length project?
Do you ever have creative dry spells, and if so, what do you do to find new inspiration and ideas?
What are some of your favorite things about American culture (if any)?
Best wishes for great success on our side of the pond.
Why is it all the good british comedy shows only last 2 seasons?
Can we at least get a spaced christmas episode (eg the office, extras).
Man Simon you're awesome! Many are the hungover mornings that my buddy and I have watched Shaun to help cure the hanging. Question is I saw a zombie show on youtube, I think it was called something 5000. It was about you hunting zombies and Nick interviewing you. Will you have anymore of these for the t.v or on dvd? Man you're awesome! Oh yeah My buddy same guy went to London last wek and made the trip to the Winchester...AND IT WAS TORN DOWN!!!!!
How do you feel about the Wee Hughie character int THE BOYS ?
You are kind of awesome. Who are your comedic influences?
How would you solve America's bailout of wall street? The Polyfoamworkshop enjoys your work.
Hi Simon
I wanted to know if you'd ever consider making a sequel to movies like Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead, or do you and Nick Frost never look back?
Do you feel that you've succussfully "infiltrated" the star-studded land of Hollywood?
Have you have thought of doing a remake of Point Break?
Dear Simon,
You are sheer brilliance. Your attention to the craft of showing comedy and drama is one to be tremendously appreciated, I know that I appreciate watching and observing you act in all the films and TV shows that you have done. My question is what tends to be your approach and beliefs when you write for the screen?
Good luck on your upcoming releases and Cheers! I'm looking forward seeing you as Scotty!
Chad
Will you continue to create amazing parodies of American movie genres (like you did in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz)?
If so, what genre is next?
Do you feel you could make a difference in the fight against world hunger and poverty?
I'm trying to live the 'Spaced' lifestyle but my Father won't approve. Any advice?
Since Daniel Craig opened the door for blonde "007"ss, do you see yourself playing that role?
It is often said we ought not mix business with pleasure, but you and Nick Frost have had great professional success doing just that. What is it about you guys that enables you to work together closely and maintain your friendship?
How can a comedic actor and writer resist the pressure to give us "something fresh and new, but exactly the same" that Hollywood seems to want to squeeze out of its stars? (I am guilty of this too, by the way. I want more Shaun, more Hot Fuzz, more Simon Pegg movies!)
What has been your biggest inspiration for your work?
What was more fun filming: drop kicking grandmothers in the head or beating zombies with a cricket bat?
My husband and I just finished watching Spaced (I know, we're a decade late!), and we absolutely loved it! Why was there only 2 series of that show? We had just grown to love characters and it was over! We're SO bummed!
Hi Simon - I lovedd your performance in Hot Fuzz , it was extremely real and quite frankly, a little scary at times when your character seemed a little erratic! My question to you is that after doing films like Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, what made you take on How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, which seems like quite a mainstream movie?
What could stop you from being in "Inglorious Bastards"?
Hot Fuzz and Sean of the Dead were brilliant and just plain hillarious. Will you bee doing any more movies with Simon Frost? Seeing as though you two work very well together.
Do you plan on appearing in any Dr. Who eposidoes in the future?
What is more fun playing the zombie or playing the zombie killer?
Whats up Simon.
Comedy has been your focus in past films. Is there a possibility we may see you venture into other genres. Sci -fi, Horror, Porn?
You're easily one of the most recognizable comics on either side of the Atlantic. So who do you look to for comic inspiration? Who do you admire?
I loved your work in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Spaced, man - even your guest shot on Doctor Who! But seriously: was your appearance on E!'s "The Soup" with Jessica Hynes everything you thought it'd be?
(Seriously, dude: you rock.)
There are Shaun of the Dead action figures, why are there no Hot Fuzz ones?
We never seem to hear anything about your wife, what's she like?
If you were a comic book hero, what would your power be? In real life, who is your hero (living, dead, or living-dead)?
In Shaun of the Dead, you spent a lot of time acting with zombies. In How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, you share the screen with Megan Fox. Which was more difficult?
To start off: I love your movies, the first one I saw that you were in was Shaun of the Dead, which is my all time favorite movie. You are a brilliant actor, but I'm here to ask a question. Was there anything that influence you to become an actor, and even so, what influence were use to make the movies you were in.
Did you have to endure a lot of teasing about your name when you were growing up?
Hi Simon,
If you had a chance to star in a remake of your favorite 80's comedy movie, What film would it be, and what character would you play?
you have created movies wherein the loose ends are tied collectively in the end, so how do you think of these things?
In your opinion, did you enjoy filming "Shaun of the Dead" or "Hot Fuzz" more?
My daughter and I love you movies, especialy Run Fatboy Run. We would like to know who is your favorite European Football team?
I was never a big fan of British cinema up to the point that I watched Shaun of the Dead for the first time. Now I am seeing a lot of really good films coming from the UK like Hot Fuzz (any movie that drop kicks elderly ladies in the face should get an oscar) Doomed, The Bank Job, Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels, The Boondocks Saints, etc.
With you making the move to American cinema, do you plan on continuing to work on new British movies as well?
Mr. Pegg,
Could you handle playing the intimacy scenes as the lead actor in a Gay love story? Brits are traditionally conservative, and I wonder, has growing up in England influenced your ability and desire to play this sort of role?
In a "real life" shawn-of-the-dead situation, would you like to eat, or be eaten?
what would you say are the basic rules of modern comedy script writing?
Could you please name a few actors or actresses that you personally admire?
Your movies let us see the other side of British life. How do you get these ideas to produce all the movies? By the way, you should consider really putting on weight in "Run, Fat Boy, Run", as the belly is not convincing!
Hey Simon, I was just wondering what it is like working with J.J. Abrams in the new Star Trek Prequel?
Who/What inspired you to work with movies?
You Co-Stared in Mission Impossible III, with Tom Cruise. What was it like working with him?
Shaun of the Dead is by far my favorite horror movie ever. Any chance you'll dip into that category again? (Vampires, werewolves, etc.?)
When u were young, Whom u wanted to become?? And does it have anything to do with what you are now??
Hi Simon,
I' m a gargantuan fan, but I won't write a novel about it. I've always wondered about entertainers who make the jump "across the pond" - is there a certain amount of resentment from your core fan base back home, and if so, does that bother you? Also, are you afraid your comedic wit might dull in the face of our often boring and mindless American pop culture?
Keep being brilliant,
Andrea
Which Star Trek series is your favorite?
The first 2 of your 'Blood and ice cream' trilogies are 2 of my favourite films of all time, will we be expecting anything different from in the third? Ricky Gervais being my other English idol, would you consider working with him in the future? Perhaps including Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington the bald headed manc?
Is There A shawn of the dead 2 coming out
You are a genius - LOVE your movies.
From one redhead to another:
I often heard "I'd rather be dead than have red on my head" as I was growing up. How did being a redhead affect your outlook on life and your approach to your films?
( I'll bet you know that redheads were so special in the Mayan(?) culture that they were the ones sacrificed to the Gods!)
If you ever pass through Atlanta again - (I watched the documentary on the DVD of the US tour you guys did) please make sure it gets plenty of press - I did not know you were in town.
Best of luck with the new movie -
Are you fond of the delicious flavor of pineapple?
You had a chance to make film in US. What is the difference between American and British nature of comedy, except the obvious difference in accent, maybe reaction of audience? And why this title (How to Lose Friends & Alienate People) did you need that thing ever in your life?
As a senior citizen struggling to buy prescription drugs and pay for a prescription drug plan that doesn't seem to help. I would like to know what each presidential candidate will do to help us with living on the small amount we receive from Medicare, buy groceries, buy our much needed medications. The drug plan is a joke. The $2500.00 gap is not enough to cover the things we need for the year.

You're Brilliant. How can you be so Brilliant and Funny without ever being generic?
What is your favorite English soccer team?
How well would you say you identify with your characters?
Simon, you have obviously maintained great working relationships with some of your Spaced and Is It Bill Bailey alumni (i.e. Bill Bailey, Nick Frost). When you started out did you expect that so many of your contemporaries would achieve fame and fortune?
Hi Simon!
Here's a hypothetical question for you:
Arrrgh! There's a fire in the storage facility for the largest sci-fi film and television archive known to man! What 3 films and/or TV shows do you grab to save for future generations to appreciate?
xx - Kim
Hi Simon!
First off I am a big fan, I'm sure you haven't heard that before, lol. I wanted to first thank you for all the joy you bring to your fans and thank you for all the time you take to answer our questions and all the pictures and autographs...We really appreciate it.
My question is: What inspires you, in your life and in your work?
Give Minnie a big hug from me and tell Nick we are all excited to see Paul when you guys are finished with it.
Cheers!!
Do you think that in order to succeed in Hollywood, British actors have to accept being typecast as either the baddy or the funny?
Ricky Gervais: Saviour of British comedy or the anti-christ?
If you could organize or support a philanthropic society. What do you think it should be your choice and why?
What type of films do you enjoy watching?
Hi, Simon. My second time to ask you something again.
What were the roles you had done onstage before you make you small screen debut on BBC, and which one is you most favourite?
Do you think you are prepared if someone offers you a role at West End or on Broadway right now, and will you think of musicals?
What is the DVD you're ashamed to have ?
Hi Simon,
If a spaceship landed outside right now, would you get in it and where would you ask it to take you -- it can take you anywhere you want.
Sorry, couldn't decide btwn these two questions so I'll ask them both:
We all know you're a Star Wars fan (at least of the originals). Who in the SW universe do you associate yourself/feel you have the most in common with and why?
If you could live in any fictional world, which would it be?
Hi Simon
I've been thinking of becoming a comedian, you are one of my influences to enter the comedy scene. But who were your comedy influences when you wanted to become a comedian?
Let's say that you are given a lead role in what is sure to be a critically acclaimed movie. This role would also earn you an Oscar but there is an ethical dilemma involved.-- The director is known for being difficult and demanding and the day that you are due to film an extremely intimate scene with your co-star, the director decides he wants to go for 100% gritty realism and suggests that the two of you are actually intimate for real on camera. How would you handle this situation?
Where did you come up with the title:How to Lose Friends & Alienate People?
Did you read Norma Vincent Peale's book?
Simon, do you ever see yourself portraying a serious lead role? (such as Robin Williams did in films like Insomnia or One Hour Photo) If so, how do you think a move like this would affect your career?
If you were asked to work on projects based on classical British novels or plays, which one would you adapt and which character would you play?
What can you tell us, as to the rumors of you possibly playing Ant-Man?
What have you learned about yourself (that you didn't know) from being in the movie business?
i would just like to know after a hits such as shawn of the dead and hot fuzz aswell as t.v shows such as spaced and short spell in band of brothers can we expect more british t.v shows from you or are you just going to continue making films???
Run fat boy, Run was aimed at a completely different audience than both Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. Did you enjoy doing something so kid friendly?
What is your favorite book?
Were you a fan of Benny Hill and Fawlty Towers?
In an interview you said that you would like your ashes to be fired into space like Star Trek actor James Doohan, and you said "At my funeral anything will go dress-wise. Don't feel a need to wear black. And I'd have 'Tomorrow Never Knows' by the Beatles playing. It'll get everyone a bit psychedelic - waving their hands in the air." It sounds a bit 'Zen spirit' to me. How did you get this idea and why did you choose that song? I'm a big fan of yours, wish you LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!
The Hot Fuzz soundtrack was pretty explosive. Which musicians are you especially fond of?
You have been such a fan of Star Wars, didn't you feel like you were betraying that (being a Star Wars' fan) by ship into the Enterprise?
Hello Simon,
Huge fan of yours. Since you are a huge fan of "Stars Wars" what do you think the world would be like if "Star Wars" had never been made?
My husband just loves your movies!!!!! The first two I saw, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were Ok to me, only because of the storyline, they weren't my thing, but I really liked Run, Fat Boy, Run!!!!! I goota know...
was that a real pouch belly you had before you trained? and did you really train, because at the end of the movie you looked really good!!!!!
What's the title of the most recent comedy movie that you watched?
Do You love Jesus and if not why do you want to go to hell?
Hello Simon!
I often find myself quoting lines from your body of work. I'm curious; what movies (or television shows) do you yourself quote?
In Hot Fuzz, co-star Nick Frost as Danny Butterman eventual plays out the scene from Point Break he loves so much. I thought this part was genius. As one of the writers, how did this idea come about?
Simon,
You are so very funny! Can you tell me who inspired you as
a child?
I thought you and Nick Frost was great in Shaun of the dead and hate to hear, there wont be a sequel.
Would you consider making a sequel if you came across a really great script? If so, I believe I've come up with one that you would like.
Which movie was the most fun to act in?
Love your comedy. SotD and Hot Fuzz are amongst my favourite films. And now that I've seen those two films I keep seeing you in so many places - Black Books, Band of Brothers, Dr Who, the "Man-Flu" sketch (classic) and now Star Trek!
'Mazing!
Do you and Nick Frost plan on collaborating again (say yes, please) and, if so, what sort of genre will you be sending up this time?

We all love watching the dynamic duo of Simon Pegg & Nick Frost, as I'm sure you enjoy it too. Aside from Nick Frost, is there any one performer or director that you would like to work with whether it be on screen or elsewhere...and why?
