My favorite exchange from the weekend shows came between George Stephanopoulos and Barack Obama:
Stephanopoulos: You've also said that with Social Security everything should be on the table.Obama: Yes.
Stephanopoulos: Raising the retirement age?
Obama: Everything should be on the table.
Stephanopoulos: Raising payroll taxes?
Obama: Everything should be on the table....
Stephanopoulos: Partial privatization?
Obama: Privatization is not something I would consider.
To steal a famous line from The Princess Bride: "Senator Obama, you keep using that phrase. I do not think it means what you think it means."
