New Gallup Poll

USA Today/Gallup released their new national poll today, putting Fred Thompson in second place on the GOP side:

Republicans
Giuliani 28 (-4 vs. last poll 6/1 - 6/3)
Thompson 19 (+8)
McCain 18 (-1)
Romney 7 (-5)
Gingrich 7 (-1)

Rudy Giuliani has an 8-point lead in the RCP Average.

On the Democratic side, Barack Obama has lost ground, leaving Hillary Clinton with a 12-point lead.

Democrats
Clinton 33 (+4 vs. last poll 6/1 - 6/3)
Obama 21 (-9)
Gore 18 (+1)
Edwards 11 (n/c)
Richardson 5 (+2)

Clinton's lead in the RCP Average stands at 13.5.

Gallup has "narrow down" numbers where respondents were asked who they'd vote for if the primary election came down to two candidates in each party.
