Here's a rather conspicuous graf from CNN:
The government sources said Rice called Musharraf -- a key U.S. ally in its so-called war on terror -- after media reports that he was considering imposing a state of emergency.[emphasis added]
My title for this post is actually an insult to John Edwards. He dismisses the phrase "war on terror" as an over simplistic political bumper sticker, but at least he acknowledges that the United States is indeed in the middle of an ongoing struggle against radical Islamic jihadists. CNN, apparently, does not.
