Monty Python Goes To The Senate

An immediate disclaimer: We have no idea if this is real. But even if it isn't, this clip rivals some of the best Monty Python sketches we've ever seen.
Purportedly, this Australian Senator is discussing a recent oil spill:
Senator: "Well, I'm not saying it wasn't safe, it's just perhaps not quite as safe as some of the other ones."
Interviewer: "Why?"
Sen: "Well, some of them are build so the front doesn't fall off at all."
Int: "Wasn't this built so the front wouldn't fall off?"
Sen: "Well, obviously not."
Int: "How do you know?"
Sen: "Well, cuz the front fell off, and 20,000 tons of crude oil fell into the sea, caught fire. It's a bit of a give-away."
Later, on the materials oil tankers can be made of: "Well, cardboard's out. ... No paper, no string, no cellotape. ... They've got to have a steering wheel. There's a minimum crew requirement." "What's the minimum crew?" "One, I suppose."
