New Gallup Poll: GOP

New Gallup poll on the '08 Republican race (September 14-16, 401 Republicans or Republican leaners, MoE ±5 %) showing Rudy ticking down but still leading, McCain and Ron Paul rising and Romney slipping:

Republicans
Giuliani 30 (-4 vs. last poll 9/7-8)
Thompson 22 (nc)
McCain 18 (+3)
Romney 7 (-3)
Paul 4 (+3)
Huckabee 4 (-1)
Undecided 10 (+2)

Overall, Giuliani's lead in the RCP Average is 4.3%

Other notables: among those Republicans considered "extremely likely" to vote, Giuliani's lead over Thompson in the Gallup poll dwindles to just 3 points (29% to 26%), while McCain is at 15% and Romney is at 8%.

Also, Gallup recorded the following favorable/unfavorable ratings for the GOP candidates, which shows Romney trailing well behind the other candidates:

Giuliani 70/22 (+48)
Thompson 55/9 (+46)
McCain 65/25 (+40)
Romney 39/23 (+16)

While it's true 37% surveyed had "no opinion" of Romney, 36% said the same thing about Fred Thompson.
