Fun Libertarian Facts

As today is the birthday of the Libertarian Party, noted in the Daily 2008, a reader wrote in to remind us that a year later, in 1972, Theodora "Toni" Nathan, the VP candidate on the Libertarian ticket with John Hospers, was the first woman to receive an electoral vote. It happened when Roger McBride, a Virginia elector pledged to Nixon, cast his vote.
