Grassley Calls Iowa

For what it's worth, Sen. Charles Grassley, speaking to the Des Moines Register, thinks Mitt Romney and Barack Obama will win Iowa:

He said Hillary Clinton could possibly finish in third place, behind John Edwards.
...

"I expect Romney with his tremendous resources and putting so much into infrastructure to deliver people to the polls is going to come in narrowly first, Huckabee second," said Grassley, the state's senior and most influential Republican.

GOP candidate Rudy Giuliani will come in behind those two, he predicted, making a big push at the end for a "respectable third."

As for the Democrats, Grassley said he thinks even if Clinton comes in third behind both Obama and Edwards, she won't be damaged nationally.

"I think Edwards is going to come out of Iowa looking better than he does nationally and it may even help him nationally," Grassley said.

A third-place finish for Hillary would be a very interesting start to the new year.
