Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has nabbed long-time Republican strategist Ed Rollins to head his bid for the GOP's presidential nomination.

Rollins, who had forgotten just how cold New Hampshire can be in December, said, "I'm freezing my tail off" when reached in the Granite State on Friday by ABC News.

While commenting on the frigid New England weather, Rollins confirmed that he has agreed to serve as Huckabee's national campaign chairman.

Rollins is best known for managing Ronald Reagan's landslide reelection in 1984.

In 1992, he briefly served as an adviser to Ross Perot's campaign before resigning in frustration, citing an unwillingness on the part of the Texas billionaire to follow advice.

Huckabee, who has vaulted from obscurity to the head of the pack in Iowa, will announce Rollins as national chairman at a 2:00 pm ET event in Concord, N.H.

Rollins is a pretty big score for Huckabee and, in addition to his obvious talent, will add some much needed respectability to a campaign critics have derided as a bit unserious.
