Turkish jets struck suspected Kurdish rebel hideouts in northern Iraq today.
Flanked by veterans while campaigning in Florida, Rudy Giuliani said the Army needs 10 more brigades and the Marine Corps 200,000 more troops.
So what's up with that ARG poll? Jay Cost has a few thoughts.
A few John Edwards items moving around today:
First, Edwards is making his final push in Iowa, as a new internal memo reveals.
Also, there's a bit of ruckus over a new 527 group known as the Alliance for a New America, which just came out with a new ad. The group maintains its independent status, even though all the ads the ANA runs tout Edwards' proposals.
Finally, while in New Hampshire, Edwards argued that the last two Democratic presidents, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, both "talk like me." He was referring to his southern twang, but more cynical readers can supply their own politician jokes.
Barack Obama, however, says everyone now sounds like him.
It seems the only mention Mitt Romney can get from New Hampshire editorial boards is when they're trashing him, like the New Hampshire Union Leader did today.
Perhaps in eight short days we'll be spared any more of these "why aren't voters taking Joe Biden seriously?" articles.
I have to admit, the AP's headline writers got me with their "Huckabee Bags a Bird in Iowa."
