IA Poll: Clinton, Romney Cling to Tiny Leads

In the huge wake left by the Des Moines Register poll last night, CNN is out with its own survey in Iowa this am (Dec 26-30, 482 Dem LV, 373 GOP LV, MoE +/-4.5%). On the Democratic side, Clinton leads Obama by 2 points, while Edwards has slipped back in the last two weeks:

Democrats
Clinton 33 (+3 vs. last poll Dec 14-18)
Obama 31 (+3)
Edwards 22 (-4)

Clinton still leads by 1.6% in the RCP Average for Iowa.

On the Republican side, CNN shows a net eleven point swing in Romney's favor over the last two weeks, with Thompson rising into third:

Republicans
Romney 31 (+6 vs. last poll Dec 14-18)
Huckabee 28 (-5)
Thompson 13 (+4)
McCain 10 (+1)
Giuliani 8 (-3)
Paul 8 (+2)

Huckabee leads by 0.4% in the RCP Average for Iowa.
