Ferraro Might Not Vote For Obama

The 1984 vice presidential nominee continues her criticism of the Obama campaign in today's New York Times:

Ms. Ferraro, who clashed with the Obama campaign about whether she made a racially offensive remark, said she might not [vote for Obama] either. "I think Obama was terribly sexist," she said.

She doesn't mince words, does she? The consensus view here is that Democrats will rally to nominee by the end, once the heat of the general election begins. We might have seen a bit of that over President Bush's "appeasement" speech to the Knesset last week, as even Hillary locked horns with the White House despite criticizing Obama previously for his stance on negotiating with Iran.

But lingering tensions between the the demographic groups, as evidenced by Ferraro's comments, might not be easy to mend.
