State Poll Dump: Bush States

According to newly released polls in states that voted for Pres. Bush in 2004, McCain leads Obama in all but one. He holds small leads in the battleground states of Florida and Ohio -- two states Obama would like to win back from recent GOP control -- as well as Indiana, which Obama is aiming for despite the fact that it's voted Republican in 17 of the last 20 presidential elections. All three states are close, according to the RCP Averages, as McCain's lead in each is less than 3 points.

Obama leads in Iowa, which gave Pres. Bush a one-point win in 2004 after he lost the state to Al Gore by a point in 2000. McCain leads in Missouri, as well as his home state of Arizona, where he failed to break 40% support.
