10/7 Recap

Of the 17 state polls in 11 states, John McCain led in just two. He and Obama tied twice -- in North Carolina and Indiana -- and Obama led in 13. Most noticeable was Obama's leads in the three polls in Pennsylvania. Along with Wisconsin and New Hampshire, Pennsylvania is a state the McCain campaign had hoped to pick up from the Dem column. But McCain hasn't had much good news in recent polling in any of them.

Two polls just out show Obama up 16 points in California and McCain up 3 points in North Carolina. McCain's tight lead there and 5-point lead in Indiana were his high points of the day (his lead in Alaska wasn't much of a surprise).
