Brrrrrrrrrack Obama

The Obama websiteis streaming live TV of the Senator's announcement...I'm about to leave this clean, well-heated press filing center to brave arctic cold and watch the speech that I've just read: very inspiring, as expected, not many details, as expected...I"ll have more to say about Obama's first day of campaigning later today, after he starts meeting voters in Iowa.

A lot JFK and a little Bobby? Good taste of Cedar Rapids 'the Greek Place' and 'the Cedar Brewing Co.' Obama did talk about 'costs' of health care.

Felix Unger:

I wish this guy would get off the bi-partisan horse shit. It is really turning me off.

"It's time to admit that no amount of American lives can resolve the political disagreement that lies at the heart of someone else's civil war," Obama said.

Has B.O. consulted with the Hutus, and Koreans, and Germans, and Haitians, and Afghans on that?

No mention of Clinton's not-UN-approved carpet bombing of Belgrade either -- but of course the uninvited EU troops are still in Yugoslobia, so no need to mention that 10+ year unilateral occupation, eh Joe?

ignoreland:

Hey Joe,

Whatcha gonna do when you get to Iowa (15 degrees tonight) or on to New Hampshire (-4 degrees tonight)? If you expect the candidates to run, then we expect you to cover it without whimpering about the cold or the quality of the food. If you don't like it, as Ana Marie points out, Baghdad is in the 50s and 60s.
