The Obama Sex Scandal, Continued

kellyVidKds.jpg

Here is the "fundamentalist-pagan-commie-Islamofasctist-Feminazi" bear (as mentioned by our commenters) that will teach our children about "bad" and "secret" touching.

The Stick, on the other hand, would NEVER lead us astray. Oh, wait...

UPDATE: This is what "Kelly Bear" has in store for our sweet innocents:

Kelly Bear Teaches About Secret Touching

Children learn the difference between "good touch," "bad touch," and "secret touch" in a sensitive, reassuring way. By observing children being assertive, they learn how to protect themselves. Two themes are emphasized: if a "secret touch" happens, the child needs to tell a trusted adult, and secret touching is not the child's fault. The original songs include "Looking in the Mirror," an upbeat, self-acceptance song, "Secret Touch," and "Don't Be Afraid."

Tell an adult! Not the child's fault! He may look non-threatening, but, clearly this is a TROJAN BEAR -- fuzzy and soft on the outside, but on the inside a vehicle for sin and corruption.

Also, he is filled with condoms.

W00t! I get a shout out from Ana about my "fundamentalist-pagan-commie-Islamofasctist-Feminazi" bear!

Crust:

Naturally, Romney is citing this as proof that America is an “ocean of filth”.

linda:

AMC, don't be nervous. Knowledge shall set you free.

Suggestion: stop and pick up a zipper on the way to the studio. When Sham starts his rant, pull it out.

Tom:

Why does the leftist fundamentalist religious cult want to get into the bedrooms of children via their "education" schemes in schools? Can't they keep their deviances to themselves?

NAMBLA:

Although happily married to a member of the opposite gender (or so I think), I find this bear deeply arousing. Of course, the children must leave the room, but if it's Freddie Thompson in there, with a dash of cologne on his paunch, I want all his touches. Let the fur fly.

QUAKER GUY:

From the latest Joe Klein thread:

""But since Joe no longer reads or responds to comments there is no way to discuss this with him. And I would love to discuss this with him because the Democratic Party could use an advocate in the national media and not merely another 'pox-on-both-houses', hostile-to-the-Democratic-base pundit."

Very True Terrapin.

HELLO ANA, JAY OR KAREN. ARE YOU OUT THERE?

We know you responsibly read comments. Can someone ask Joe about his characterization that all dems don't care about what happens in Iraw after we leave."

Ana- I thought you might see this if we posted on your blog comments.

As someone with one foot in the blogosphere and one foot in the DC Soiree, can you enlighten us as to why you alone, of all your fellow journalists, will not fall for this nonsense?

These people are smart, right? They know what's going on. So are they just playing dumb for political or financial reasons? Do they push this nonsense at the behest of editors and producers? Or do they all just get off on playing the rubes, not realizing that the clueless masses got a better idea of what's going on than they do? Don' they realize that they look like idiots when they act like we can't see through their transparent kabuki theater?

Or do they all -- Democrats, press and Republicans alike -- worship at the same altars?

Ana, your random posts throughout the day always give me a good laugh.

"The Obama Sex Scandal, Continued" alone was enough to get me smiling. Good to see someone else can infuse the ridiculousness of Washington D.C. with some wry humour, a la Colbert/Stewart.

Boomdog:

Tom, the only people inappropriately touching little kids (and wearing diapers) these days are Republican congressmen and ministers.

You keep them out of my kids' bedroom, and I'll stop telling your children that the world is round and we come from monkeys, okay?

Anonymous:

Boomdog:

I think Tom is a parody troll.

Riesz Fischer:

Well said, Boomdog. If it wasn't for all the Republican perv congressmen we wouldn't need Kelly Bear to teach our kids how to protect themselves.

not the senator:

You should definitely bring the bear with you to Hannity & Colmes.

The Fox H&C staff may need to learn about "secret touching" if Andrea Mackris is any indication.

p_lukasiak:

The problem is that the proper response to this smear is righteous fury -- at the Romney campaign for distributing these lies, and the mainstream media for giving them credence.

But what we'll get, instead of righteous fury, is some snark and a few hair-tosses from AMC on Hannity.

Hoplite:

Didn't James Dobson attack SpongeBob Squarepants for being part of the gay agenda? This bear is obviously part of the plot.

Scooby Doo:

Hey Ana, how bout that crazy NFL guy Vick! His antics must really strike a nerve with the anti-republican dog lovers out there. All the same, it doesn't come close to what that nasty evil family man Romney did to his dog 24 years ago now does it? Bad, bad, bad Romney! Oh, that's right, the dog survived the trip and wasn't body slammed, electrocuted or hanged. Hmmmmmmm. Well, I'm sure we'll still be able to drag it up a couple more times before elections roll around right? I'm looking forward to seeing the angle you'll take next time. Who wants a bet that Vick is neither a republican or an independent?

fightthetheocracy!:

It's teaching kids about responsible behavior but it's not blaming all child molestation on gays so it must be a communist/satanist plot!

Anonymous:

Who wants a bet that Vick is neither a republican or an independent?

I'll take that bet. Most pro athletes are poorly educated rich people who hate to pay taxes. Almost all or either apolitical or Republican. Just because he's Black doesn't make him a Democrat.

Naw. They've fallen off the fence. They're scrambled eggs like Humpty Dumpty. Why else do we have QH, et al. making rants instead of arguments.
A Romney spokeswoman was on Chris Mathews show today ranting about Obama speaking before Planned Parenthood, the guest moderator reminded her that Romney supported sex-ed in Mass. and had spoken to Planned Parenthood in the past. Not to be deterred by facts, she continued her tirade.
When you have facts, argue the facts. When you have a moral high ground, argue the morality. When you have no facts and no moral high ground, jump up and down and scream. Welcome to Conservatism in the Bush/Cheney era.

p_luk - "But what we'll get, instead of righteous fury, is some snark and a few hair-tosses from AMC on Hannity."

You underestimate the effectiveness of snark. Righteous fury at every stupid, clumsy, half-arsed smear just comes across as hypersensitive and, well, shrill.

Yadgyu:

It's good that everyone is having fun with this "scandal". It's unfortunate that some of your kids will end up victims of sexual abuse. But hey, don't let me stop you all from having a good time!!

anonymous:

Yadgyu - got any kids? want to sell them? I give you good price.

grape_crush:

Yadgyu: "It's good that everyone is having fun with this 'scandal'. It's unfortunate that some of your kids will end up victims of sexual abuse."

Less likely than yours, because we'll use awareness programs like Kelly Bear to help our kids recognize sexual abuse.

p_lukasiak: "The problem is that the proper response to this smear is righteous fury.."

Never underestimate the power of public ridicule, p_luk. It's easier to tune out someone who is shouting at you than someone who is making you laugh.

Riesz Fischer:

Ana looked so calm and confident on Hannity tonight. She made the wingnuts look silly, which is no easy task-- they don't embarrass easily.

I think that's the most effective way to deal with these people-- send a smart, gorgeous liberal woman who can calmly take Hannity and his wingnut guest apart, right in front of the home crowd. I loved it!

linda:

Fasten your seat belts. I actually watched the Sham. AMC did well. No snark, just an attempt to insert facts into the abyss.

AMC, did you feel verbally abused? Wonder if Sham gets away with that 'shout down' stuff at home?

Teaching kids about sexuality is best left with parents and priests in the L.A. archdiocese.

Considering the fact that child abuse is most often perpetrated by loved ones, of course the schools should not leave it to these very same loved ones to tell the children about 'bad touches'.

Mitt Romney is playing a bs game here. He knows exactly what Obama is supporting, and would rather demagogue and try to derail a program that prevents child abuse to score points with mouth breathing wingnut fundamentalists.

This is the same Romney who profited off Marriot hotels dishing up porn.

He is a craven jerk.

Sean Patrick:

Romney simply trying to score points. Fred Thompson is on his way, the Social Conservative version of the Second Coming.

Romney's flat-lined with this crowd. 'You look right, talk right, act right. But you belong to a cult religion. So no deal'

How do you get beyond religion? Wallow in the Sexual Swamp.

Only thing scarier than a cult with this crowd, is a crotch.

archie stanson:

All I have to say is that we as liberal democrats must never forget DOGGIEGATE!

SF Bear:

First McCain plummeted.

Now Giuliani.

Romney is next.

And Thompson will not turn out to be the Great White Hope (read, empty slate) the right-wing hopes for.

Despite the Democrats' tendency to shoot themselves in the foot, this next election could result in real change.

George Melly Man on The Telly:

The Democrats are committing political suicide.
It's stunning to see it unfold. Here are a few scenarios:

1)Dems run consistent anti-war Obama

Response: Bush draws down troop levels to 30,000 says it's basically over. Hand's over keys to Thompson/Giulliani

Terror variant: Glasgow style Terror strikes--Red alert, PATRIOT 3 Dems weak on Terror. Thompson Giulliani wins. Big BAd OSama Bin Laden resurfaces taunting America, or is captured. Obama loses Moderates and crashes.

Adverts with Osama and Obama morphing into one.

2) Dems Run Hillary

drawdown to 30,000, terror strikes. etc. She agrees with muscular response. Bomb Iran. Loses election to Thompson as Liberals desert her in disgust.

15 months is a long time.

"15 months is a long time."

How a liberal counts to 3...

"One, five, lebenteen."

Same way they calculate chads, and their own multiple abortions.

NO OVERRIDE, NO RETREAT, NO REID COWARDS:

"Despite the Democrats' tendency to shoot themselves in the foot, this next election could result in real change."

Yes, your old cave buddy Osama must be foaming at the border crossing, at the prospect of a CIC Hillary.

Allah help us all, as the leftards clearly IS not going to.

Yadgyu:

Continue with the politics. The kids that will be abused would rather hear about liberal vs. conservative than for the abuse to stop.

Hey. linda and all.

This blog is getting less interesting to me, as a hobby. Especially since the infestation of the nutsos, but also the banning episodes and the change in management style. I'm looking for recommends for lively blog action - I've seen Elvis over at Balkinization and linda I've seen you over at Ambinders, not that I want to hang out there. Trifecta appears in a lot of places I go. It's inevitable, I guess; every blog has their life cycle. Suggestions are welcome.

I guess Colbert really knows what he's talking about with the right wing. Something about bears.

You should direct that anger at the Repubicans who are trying to use this issue in a political manner. Obama is trying to educate our children to the dangers and help prevent them from abuse. The Republicans are attacking him for it.

I do realize that Obama is giving awareness to a genuine issue, but directing anger at Republicans or Democrats or anbody will not change things. I am not angry. I just don't understand how educating young children about inappropriate touching could be a funny thing.

sunbean:

I think the SEX scandal we are all wondering about is the Larry Sinclair Sex scandal with his 4 you tube videos alleging Obama has used cocaine more recently. .His therightperspective.com interview was pretty convincing. I wish Obama would answer these charges, I know other politicans have tried to ignore alleged affairs for along time too. I really don't care as much about any allegations of gay sex. But I did have a boss before that was arrested for cocaine purchasing nearly in front of our office, and it was a shock to all of his employees as his drug use was well hidden. Maybe that is why Obama won't debate as he is afraid a viewer will submit a quesiton on this controversy?
I am afraid of anyone that is weak enough to use cocaine as Obama has admitted because cocaine is far worse than marajuana as far as addictiveness goes and the majority of people adults and youth are not so dangerously adventurous. Most people I know that used it in high school and dabbled with it eventaully became addicted to it and faced huge problems. I would feel better with Candidate drug tests and random testing for electedofficials. Heck we test cashiers and factory workers and not the people with access to national security secrets and controls to nuclear weapons?? It is no secret as any web search will reveal that goverment offials are being caught abusing drugs. Why not test them too?
It IS RECKLESS to leave politicains free from scrutiny when they have more power that affects the lives of all of us.
